Health care providers, medical personal, and facilities in Louisiana: Make Louisiana Health Care LGBTQ friendly! →

youjolgbtq:

As you can see, Louisiana does not have a hospital on this LGBTQ friendly list. In our whole 51,843 sq mi of land land not one hospital could land a perfect score for giving homosexuals, bisexuals, trans people, and other forms of “queer” people the same respect that they give heterosexuals and cisgender people. I am personally outraged that as a bisexual that lives my life here, that I and fellow members of the LGBTQ community have to be 2nd class in the health care system! It is imperceptive that we all be treated with the same respect and care, as human beings! A person’s mental health can have bound ties to their psychical health, and if a persona knows and/ or experiences anything less they what they are aware someone else would get just for their sexual orientation or gender idenity it can have massily damaging effects. Identifying as a man but being called female pronouns, denying visits of someone’s long time partner for being the same gender, and many other forms of blatant discrimination are apparently running rampant in our state health care system.

This petition is to send the message that this is unaccepted, and changes are demanded immedeatly! Thanks for reading, and signing!
